Aligarh: The team of Muhammad Haris Khan and Areeb Shahid Rao won the first prize in the annual Avicenna Clinical Pharmacology Quiz 8.0, hoisted by the Department of Pharmacology in JN Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University leaving behind 19 teams of enthusiastic students eager to put their clinical pharmacology knowledge to test.
The team of Harim Kausar and Mariyam Rehman claimed the second place while the third place went to the team of Mudassir Ali and Gopal Gupta.
The competition kicked off on May 13 and comprised three rounds of screening focused on clinical-pharmacology-based questions and image-based queries. Ten teams emerged as the finalists, who competed with each other in the Rapid-Fire round finally giving way to the three winners.
Prof Syed Ziaur Rahman, the Chairperson, appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants and urged the students to take part in such extra-curricular activities in large numbers as they will help them not only in their academic pursuits but also in their personality development.
Dr Jameel Ahmad served as a distinguished jury member, offering valuable insights and judgment throughout the proceedings.
Senior Residents Dr Mahendra Rathour and Dr Ahmar Hasan led the organizing team while Dr Abhijeet Shridhar and Dr Bharat Srivastava conducted the proceedings.
