Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor released two books written by noted writer and poet of Hindi Dr. Pushpita Awasthi, including “Ahinsa-Swar, Echo of Non-Voilence”, and “Separate Emotions”, in a special ceremony at his office.

As the Nation is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and G20-themed programmes, the Computer Science Society, Department of Computer Science, AMU, organized a 24-hour long Hackathon AMUHacks 2.0 from 18th to 19th March in collaboration with Google Developer Student Club. In Hackathon, a total of 147 teams registered for the event from the prominent institutions of the country. The event provided a platform for budding developers to showcase their skills and come up with innovative ideas.

The Centre for Studies of Plural Societies’, Aligarh Chapter conducted its first research workshop titled “Outline of Making an Academic Argument” at the Ibn Sina Academy of Medieval Medicine and Sciences, Aligarh, wherein selected interns were told how to excel in the field of academics.

Dr. Ushoshi Guha, a retired IAS, and educationist, called upon women to acquire education, economic self-reliance, and entrepreneurship to achieve the larger goal of empowerment and emancipation. She was delivering a lecture to mark International Women's Day, organized by the Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University.

“The study of building technology is of immense importance from the perspective of historiography. The plurality of the architectural heritage of India is very fascinating”, said Professor Irfan Habib, renowned historian and  Professor Emeritus, Department of History, AMU, while delivering the keynote address in the inaugural session of the 3-day national seminar on the topic ‘Mughal Empire: Art, Architecture and Historiography’, organized by the Department of History, Centre of Advanced Study, Aligarh Muslim University.

International Women's Day was observed at various departments of the Aligarh Muslim University with a motto to spread awareness for the safeguarding of women's rights and make a congenial environment to empower them in all respect.
