Aligarh: 284 students of Aligarh Muslim University received laptops and smartphones in a special ceremony held at the Dean Students’ Welfare Office.

Sudhir Kumar, Additional City Magistrate II, and Prof Abdul Alim distributed laptops to the students of Ph.D., B.Tech, MA, BE, etc. under the tablet and smartphone distribution scheme of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, for the digital empowerment of youth studying in the state.

Prof Abdul Alim said, around 3000 laptops have been distributed so far among AMU students since 2021.

Prof Vibha Sharma, Prof M Shahul Hameed, Dr. Abdus Samad, Dr. Saba Zaidi, Dr. Jahangir Chauhan, Dr. Mohd. Shakir, Dr. Javed Alam, and Dr. Ali Imran Usmani were also present on the occasion.
