“Discovery of India”, written by the first prime minister of the country, echoed a powerful vision of inculcating scientific temper in people. The commitment of policy to scientific temper as a goal for our society, be it Science Policy Resolution 1958 or the recently unveiled Science, Technology & Innovation Policy 2013, has been unwavering.
