Recreation Room for Sensory Development inaugurated

Aligarh: The Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenged marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its first-ever recreation room for the Sensory Development class. The facility was inaugurated by the Director of School Education, Prof Asfar Ali Khan, in a ceremony filled with joy and encouragement.

As part of the celebrations, Prof Asfar distributed trophies and certificates to outstanding student office bearers for the session 2024-2025. To further delight the students, dry fruit packets and specially designed water bottles were gifted, adding to the joyous occasion.

The newly established recreation room is designed to provide an engaging and interactive learning experience for visually challenged students. A central feature of the room is a large LCD screen, which will facilitate interactive learning, making lessons more accessible and enjoyable. The space is adorned with colourful learning toys to aid cognitive development, while realistic models of various animals have been placed strategically to allow students to explore and identify them through touch. The bright and welcoming environment underscores the school’s commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating educational experience.

Principal Dr Naila Rashid expressed gratitude to the dedicated staff, emphasizing that the success of the initiative was a result of their teamwork and commitment. She acknowledged their collective efforts in ensuring the project’s completion and making the inauguration a grand success.

The inauguration of the recreation room is a testament to the school’s continuous efforts to enhance the learning experiences of visually challenged students, equipping them with the necessary resources to thrive in an inclusive educational environment.
