Aligarh: The Department of Pediatrics of JN Medical College at Aligarh Muslim University will organise a training programme on Bayley scales of Infant and Toddler Development, BSID, on May 10 and 12.
Prof Zeba Zaka-ur-Rab, Chairperson of the Department said that developmental delay occurs when a child exhibits a delay in the acquisition of milestones or skills, in one or more domains of development.
She further stated that the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development is a diagnostic tool used to identify deficits in very young children across five major developmental domains: Cognitive, Language, Motor, Adaptive Behaviour and Social-Emotional. It indicates strengths, weaknesses and competencies so that parents and professionals can properly plan for the child.
Eminent certified trainers in collaboration with Pearson India Education Services Pvt. Ltd will impart the training.
