AMU participated in an online ‘Kaushal Deekshant Samaroah’


Aligarh: The Faculty members, Staff, and Students of Aligarh Muslim University participated in an online ‘Kaushal Deekshant Samaroah.’

This significant event was celebrated across the various Schools, Departments, and Halls of Residence within the AMU campus, where attendees watched the live coverage of the Annual Skill Convocation Ceremony.

The highlight of the event was an address by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who emphasized the government's commitment to promoting skill-based education in alignment with the 21st-century learners' aspirations. The vision behind Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh is to blend school-based and work-based learning, nurturing talent and enabling students to showcase their skills to the world, he added.

During the live ceremony, Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, as well as various dignitaries addressed the gathering, further reinforcing the commitment to skill development.

The event featured participation from students hailing from prestigious skill development institutes, including Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra, Industrial Training Institutes, DGT, PMKVY, SANKALP, apprentices, IIE, NIPUN, Skill India International Centre, NIESBUD, and Jan Shikshan Sansthan.

The AMU community praised the event, which reflected the hard work and dedication of students while underscoring a multidisciplinary approach, establishment of industry-relevant standards, robust curricula, and international benchmarked skilling opportunities.
