Aligarh: The Aligarh Muslim University students’ chapter of the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, in collaboration with Talent Magma and with the support of the Centre for Food Science and Technology, organized a panel discussion on ‘Sustainable Solutions and Technological Innovations: Bridging the Skill Gap in Emerging Industries.’
About 125 students from various engineering and science disciplines engaged in discussions on key issues surrounding sustainability, resource efficiency and emerging industry technologies.
Prof Mohd Junaid Khalil, Chairman, Department of Chemical Engineering highlighted the importance of sustainable practices in modern industries and the role of AMU in fostering such knowledge among students.
He emphasized the University’s commitment to equipping students with the skills and insights necessary to meet the demands of today’s industries.
Dr Parvez Khan, Faculty Coordinator of the IIChE Student Chapter, urged the students to utilize the opportunities to learn from industry experts. He said that the discussion focused the essential topics like zero emissions, waste management and efficient resource usage.
Saad Hameed, AMU’s Training and Placement Officer, moderated the panel discussion, guiding the exchange between students and the panellists on critical factors such as air, water, and energy management.
The panellists included Mohd Hamza, Founder and CEO of Engineering and Environmental Solutions, Ved Prakash Chaudhary, Founder and Director of Meat Country and Saad Hameed.
In his concluding remarks, Muhammad Kaif Siddiqui, Founder and CEO of Talent Magma, expressed gratitude to the speakers and elaborated on the mission of Talent Magma to bridge the gap between academia and industry and encourage students to pursue knowledge that contributes to a sustainable future.
