Aligarh: The AMU ABK High School observed Swachhta Pakhwada, focusing on disseminating the message of cleanliness and environmental sustainability among the students and community.

The event kicked off with a plantation drive and both the teaching staff and non-teaching staff took part in it.

A Swachhta pledge was undertaken by the attendees in a special morning assembly, to reaffirm their commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

The School Principal Dr Samina informed that around 50 students participated in an Essay Writing Competition on the topic ‘Impact of Swachhta on Public Health and Well-being’, showcasing their understanding and views on the importance of cleanliness.

In the campus cleanliness drive, students cleaned their classrooms and playgrounds. The students under the supervision of teachers were also engaged in cleaning activities outside the campus.

The painting and slogan writing competitions were held online and the students shared their creativity in their class groups.
