Aligarh: Abdul Baseer Khan High School of Aligarh Muslim University celebrated World Earth Day by organizing a special assembly, an interactive programme and a quiz for the students on the theme ‘Planet versus Plastic’.

Creative posters were made by the students to sensitize people about the conservation of natural resources and to motivate them to do their bit towards making the planet even more beautiful.

In the primary section, students were reminded of their duties towards Mother Nature through PowerPoint presentations by their teachers. They were also urged to make meaningful contributions towards the ‘Go Green’ drive.

The Vice Principal Dr Saba Hasan urged the teachers and students to plant trees in their residential areas and plant saplings in pots in their houses.

She pledged to safeguard the earth from pollution and keep its environment clean with the help of trees.

Dr Farhat Parveen, the Coordinator, made efforts to organize the programme.
