Aligarh: A team of 40 students from Aligarh Muslim University participated in various competitions at the 37th Inter-University Central Zone Competition, organized by the Association of Indian Universities.

The Youth Festival was held at Swami Vivekananda Subharti University in Meerut from January 30 to February 2. The students of Aligarh Muslim University have shown exceptional talent and have won in several categories.

The Quiz team of the university, comprising Md Sabeeh Ahmad, Mohammad Ashar Mujeeb, and Md Khalid Ahmad won the second prize. Dr. Sadaf Fareed, President of the University Debating and Literary Club, congratulated the team members.

In the "On the Spot Photography" event, Umair Khan, a student of B.Sc. Botany and a member of the University Fine Arts Club won the first prize drawing appreciation from the President of the Club, Dr. Asma Kazmi.

In theatrical art, Asil Anwar, BE Mechanical Engineering, and a member of the University Drama Club won the first prize in Mimicry, while the Drama Team got the "Second Runner-up - Overall" prize in the theatre category.

The President of the University Drama Club Prof Vibha Sharma congratulated the club members and hoped that the team would perform better in national events.

Prof. FS Sherani, Coordinator of the Cultural Education Centre congratulated the winners and wished them the best of luck in the National Youth Festival to be held at Punjab Agriculture University in Ludhiana between March 28-April 2.
