AMU VC releases the book ‘Strategic Therapies’


Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Prof Mohammad Gulrez released a book titled, ‘Strategic Therapies’, authored by Prof SM Safdar Ashraf, Chairman, Department of Tahaffuzi Wa Samaji Tib, at a function held as ‘an Evening of Thanks and Forgiveness’.

Prof Gulrez appreciated the book's value as an educational supplement, written eloquently to benefit both the students and the teachers. He said the book is based on Ilaj bit Tadbeer, with special emphasis on preventive aspects of the subject, and will serve greatly in exploring the subject for detailed study.

In his presidential remarks, Padma Shri Prof. Hakeem Syed Zillur Rehman commended Prof. Safdar Ashraf’s efforts in his academic quest to bring quality research and studies.

Prof. Ferasat Ali, Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine, emphasized that hard work always brings enduring dividends.

Prof. BD Khan, Principal, AK Tibbiya College, assured unwavering cooperation to the department for the college's academic endeavors.

The guest of honor, Prof. Salma Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Management and Member Incharge, Dawakhana Tibbiya College, praised the department's contribution to upgrading the facilities for community health.

Prof. MMH Siddiqui, former Dean, the Faculty of Unani Medicine and former Chairman, the Department of Ilaj bit Tadbeer, presented a detailed analysis of the released book. He commended the innovative additions that enriched the subject matter.

Earlier, welcoming the guests, Prof. Safdar Ashraf expressed gratitude to the university community for its unwavering support. He also pledged sponsorship for the air-conditioning of the PG seminar room and substantial financial support to the upcoming World Congress on Integrated Community Health 2024.
