Aligarh: Aligarh Muslim University Vice Chancellor Prof Tariq Mansoor released two books written by noted writer and poet of Hindi Dr. Pushpita Awasthi, including “Ahinsa-Swar, Echo of Non-Voilence”, and “Separate Emotions”, in a special ceremony at his office.

Dr. Awasthi, President, Hindi Universe Foundation, Netherlands, and Chairperson, Acharya Kul, Wardha, India has authored several books featuring Suriname and Netherlands and their culture as well as literature.

Prof Mansoor appreciated her writings which mainly deal with the Indian diaspora who immigrated to foreign lands in the form of bonded laborers. “Through the form of poetry and prose in Hindi she has painted a portrait of the lives and aspirations of the Indian diaspora in an impressive style”, said Prof Mansoor.

Prof Mohd. Ashiq Ali, Chairperson, Department of Hindi, and Prof Abdul Alim, DSW, and former chairperson of the Department were present on the occasion.
