Aligarh: The German Section of the Department of Foreign Languages at Aligarh Muslim University has released; "Die Stimmen" (The Sounds), a bilingual magazine in German and English.

Launched on May 2, the magazine showcases a blend of scholarly articles and creative works, including poetry and short stories contributed by students of the German sections.

The release event was inaugurated by Prof Mohammad Gulrez, who expressed concerns over declining reading habits among youth due to AI influence and emphasized on the importance of nurturing literary engagement.

Prof Muhammad Azhar, Chairman of the Department and Dean of the Faculty of International Studies, delivered a warm welcome. Prof Mohammad Jahangeer Warsi highlighted the significance of fostering creative writing during formative years. Felicitations were also extended by Assistant Professors Syed Salman Abbas, Suman Singh, and Dr Subair PM from the Department of Foreign Languages.
