Dr. Ushoshi Guha, a retired IAS, and educationist, called upon women to acquire education, economic self-reliance, and entrepreneurship to achieve the larger goal of empowerment and emancipation. She was delivering a lecture to mark International Women's Day, organized by the Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University.

“The study of building technology is of immense importance from the perspective of historiography. The plurality of the architectural heritage of India is very fascinating”, said Professor Irfan Habib, renowned historian and  Professor Emeritus, Department of History, AMU, while delivering the keynote address in the inaugural session of the 3-day national seminar on the topic ‘Mughal Empire: Art, Architecture and Historiography’, organized by the Department of History, Centre of Advanced Study, Aligarh Muslim University.

International Women's Day was observed at various departments of the Aligarh Muslim University with a motto to spread awareness for the safeguarding of women's rights and make a congenial environment to empower them in all respect.

More than 60 children were examined for various ear-related diseases, including deafness and hearing loss in a camp on March 1, while about 150 patients were screened for ear problems in a free medical camp held at the ENT OPD on March 3, as part of the sensitization programme to mark the World Hearing Day-2023, observed by the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, under the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav".

The Department of Architecture, Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology at Aligarh Muslim University organized a national conference on the "Legacy of Islamic Architecture" with the objective to engage academicians and researchers in deliberations on the history and relevance of Islamic architecture.

The Literary and E-Mag Committee, Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University organized an "On the spot creative writing competition" and "Self-composed Poetry recitation competition".
