Aligarh: The four-day sports extravaganza ‘Frolic’, organized by the Department of Business Administration at Aligarh Muslim University, concluded with enthusiastic participation from faculty members, MBA students, and research scholars, underscoring the importance of physical fitness and mental well-being and celebrating sportsmanship, teamwork, and community engagement.
In his address, the chief guest Prof Wasif Mohd Ali from the Department of Surgery, highlighted the significance of sports as a tool to alleviate stress among the younger generation. He noted that in today’s fast-paced social environment, sports can help combat rising levels of anxiety, road rage, and other behavioural issues that were previously uncommon.
Earlier, welcoming the guests, Prof Salma Ahmed, Chairperson, Department of Business Administration, emphasized the crucial role of sports and recreation in fostering camaraderie and overall well-being. She underscored the importance of striking a balance between academic rigour and extracurricular activities to ensure holistic student development.
The successful execution of the event was credited to the dedicated efforts of Teachers-in-Charge Dr Asif Ali Syed, Dr Mohd Afaq Khan and Dr Lamay bin Sabir, along with the Student Coordinator Faizan Khan.
‘Frolic 2025’ featured a wide array of sports and fun activities, fostering a competitive atmosphere, with the faculty members and students participating in friendly matches.
