Aligarh: The Faculty of Law at Aligarh Muslim University organized a lecture on ‘Legal Career in Armed Forces’ by Major Danish Farooqui from the Armed Forces Tribunal of Lucknow.
An alumnus of AMU’s Department of Law, Major Farooqui elaborated on the wide panorama of career opportunities in the Indian army, service conditions, security of tenure, and retirement benefits. He urged university students to apply for such jobs in large numbers and prepare well for the qualifying examinations, as this is one of the best career options that law students have.
In his presidential remarks, Prof Javaid Talib exhorted law students to choose a career where they can serve the country in a direct role.
Earlier, welcoming the guest speaker, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Prof MZM Nomani recalled the heroic deeds of Major Farooqui during the rescue operation of Muthoot Hospital Trivandrum in 2018 and admired his contribution to the nation.
Prof Mohd Ashraf highlighted the activities of the Training and Placement Society of the department, while Dr Mohd Nasir proposed a vote of thanks.
