Aligarh: The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Aligarh Muslim University has achieved a milestone with the Quality Improvement Program accreditation bestowed by the All-Indian Council for Technical Education for the academic year 2024-25. This recognition marks a historic first for the entire college, highlighting the department's dedication to excellence in both education and research.
The newly established QIP centre will play a pivotal role in promoting the research environment within the Mechanical Engineering Department. It will serve as a hub for interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge sharing, promoting innovation and excellence across various engineering domains. Expressing his delight, Prof M Muzammil, Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, remarked, "This achievement fills us with pride. We are having received AICTE's approval to establish a QIP centre within our department."
Professor Salim Beg, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, added, "We believe that the QIP centre will act as a catalyst for academic and research excellence, empowering our students and faculty to make significant contributions to the field of mechanical engineering."
Professor M Sufyan Baig, Principal of ZHCET, emphasized that this recognition adds a new phase in the college's journey towards global recognition as a centre of excellence in engineering education and research.
