Aligarh: Maulana Azad Library at Aligarh Muslim University organized an Orientation cum Workshop on ‘Exploring e-Resources and AMU e-Library’ at the Cultural Hall of the library.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness about AMU's e-Resources and e-Library portal, empowering faculty and researchers to enhance their academic and research capabilities.
Dr Syed Shaz Husain, Assistant Librarian, welcomed Prof Nishat Fatima, University Librarian, along with the workshop coordinators and resource persons Bhawna Goswami and Vishal Sharma from Refread of New Delhi. He highlighted the extensive knowledge resources of the Maulana Azad Library, emphasizing its subscribed e-resources.
Bhawna Goswami led the workshop with a live demonstration on how to navigate the AMU E-Library portal and app, showcasing effective ways to access a variety of academic resources. The session also included a lively Q&A where participants' queries were addressed.
Prof Nishat Fatima emphasized the crucial role of electronic resources in advancing modern academia, lauding both their impact and the valuable contributions of the resource persons, which promoted a richer academic environment.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr Monawwer Eqbal, Deputy Librarian, who noted that approximately 148 participants attended the event.
