Aligarh: Use of hooters and continued honking by motor vehicle users is strictly prohibited inside the premises of the Aligarh Muslim University as it creates unhealthy noise and disturbance to the serene environment of the green campus of the university.

The Proctor’s Office notice says that creating sounds like firecrackers from the modified silencers is a menace not allowed inside the university and also the speed limit should not exceed 35 km per hour.

“Non-compliance of these orders will be dealt with disciplinary action by the authorities”, added the circular.
