JNMC begins DM Cardiology course at AMU

Aligarh: The Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College of Aligarh Muslim University has joined the list of a select few medical colleges in the Country running the DM Cardiology course as the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Tariq Mansoor formally inaugurated the coveted DM Cardiology course along with a postgraduate seminar in the Department of Cardiology and a Color Doppler Echo machine in the CCU complex.

Interacting with the students of the DM Cardiology course, Prof Mansoor said: “The rising numbers of heart patients require doctors with in-depth knowledge of the cardiovascular system and super speciality training. The DM Cardiology course will provide doctors with the complete knowledge needed for heart specialists in government and private hospitals”.

He also spoke on the efforts of JNMC cardiologists in providing state-of-art cardiac care at an affordable cost.

Prof MU Rabbani, Chairman, Department of Cardiology, extended gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor for the necessary support to help achieve excellence in academics and patient care.

Prof Rakesh Bhargava, Dean, Faculty of Medicine; Prof Shahid A Siddiqui, Principal, JNMC and Prof Haris Manzoor Khan, CMS and Medical Superintendent, with faculty members from across various JNMC departments attended the inaugural function.
